Summer is for Smoothies! 5 Recipes to make this July

Hot days. Backyard hangouts. Pool time. Summer is in full swing and we couldn’t be happier. But it’s not just summertime… It’s smoothie time too! The perfect way to pack in all the goodness you need without standing over a hot stove. And a great way to stay cool when the temperatures soar.

Here are 5 of our favorite smoothie recipes that we make on repeat this time of the year. Each delivers a different range of ingredients (and of course, collagen goodness) while helping us on our way to consuming a “rainbow” of colors each day.

Momma said eat your greens, but we say drink them! This one is so simple to make and gets its sweetness from nutrition-packed dates. And with satiating coconut milk as its base, you can skip lunch and head straight back to the important business of hanging at the beach.

PINA COLADA SMOOTHIE

Perhaps the simplest to make of all the smoothies on our list, this classic pina colada is an all-round crowd pleaser. Sweet and satisfying with a fruity punch, it also delivers 10 grams of protein thanks to a serving of our LonoLife collagen peptides.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple and strawberries
  • 1 serving LonoLife Coconut Pineapple Collagen Peptides
INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth. Enjoy!

While these are some of our go-to recipes, there really are few rules when it comes to smoothies. A good guide is to include a frozen banana, some frozen fruit, nut milk, and collagen peptides (for a protein boost) and you’ve got yourself a summer smoothie. Cheers!
